A noisy street.

Hello everyone!. I d like to thank you all for all the things I m learning in this wonderful site. One of my students chose the adjective LOUD as a synonim of noisy in  a context talking about a street. I m not sure about it as I haven t seen it before. Is it correct ?
Thank you so much.

Yes, you can use it as a synonym.

You could say, "It was so loud/noisy outside that I couldnt sleep."

and you can also use it to describe people

Eg. "Martha is a really loud woman", meaning that she usually speaks in a really loud voice, in a way that it isn t pleasant.
