Hi, I used a rhyme from "Excellent": Open the window, Open the door. Touch the table, Touch the floor. Close the door, Turn the key. Open your book. Look at me. |

Another one for numbers (with variations on the traditional version):One, two, buckle (or do up) my shoes, Three, four, knock on (or open) the door, Five, six, pick up some sticks, Seven, eight, close the gate, Nine, ten, say it again .... (and repeat)
An alt. end could be: Nine, ten sit down men! - if you don t object to the military style of referring to the children as little officers :)
This is based on an original children s nursery rhyme which is very adaptable for teaching English - the original uses a lot of less common words but it does go up to 20.

Dear Class Centre,
Why not do the childrens dance: The Hokey Cokey? Its very easy!
You will find a video of it here , sung by a group of German children, (singing it in English).
You will find the words here next , but you just change the words to suit the vocabulary of the children you are teaching.
I hope that this helps you.
