Thrice

Hi everybody, I would like to ask if now it is correct to say THRICE instead of THREE TIMES. When I was studying grammar I was always told that we can say ONCE, TWICE but not THRICE and to use instead THREE TIMES. Has anything changed lately? Thanks for your help. |

"Thrice" does exist, it is not common anymore, though. It was used in Shakespeare s time.

Thrice exists, but is old-fashioned. It would sound a little quaint if you used it, but people (native speakers) know what it means. These days it seems to be for comedy effect, or in period dramas.
