Well ... I�m American and I say two thousand eight .... ???? I am southern, however, so THAT might be the reason for "leaving out" the �n ...  Wink   Shelley

Some clarification:
 
102.5 m = One hundred and two meters and half or ...point/dot five/fifty
 
This should be:
 
102.5 m = One hundred and two and a half meters
                   One hundred and two point five meters
 
(The second �and� is not used in the second sentence where �point� is used.)
(Don�t forget the �a� before half)
 
Generally, �point� is used for numbers and �dot� is used in internet addresses .
 
2008 ( the year) is usually said : Two thousand and eight
