Hi, I m teaching the book "New Insights into Business", and there s this term called "Compulsory Redudancy which I can t find the meaning anywhere. Does anyone know what this is?
Appreciate the help.

Funny what a quick search on Google came up with:
Compulsory redundancy is the termination, by the employer, of an
employee s employment contract for reasons of downsizing the workforce,
usually for the following reasons: a reduction in the business for which
the employee was so employed; a reduction in the type of work for which
the employee was so employed; a closure of the place of business where
the employee was so employed; or a reduction at the place where the
employee was so employed in the type of work for which the employee was
so employed.
