A run-on sentence is a sentence that is made up of two or more complete sentences joined together without a comma and a conjunction.
An example would be:
The plane arrived late it did not land until very late at night.
Correction:
The plane arrived late. It did not land until very late at night.
or
The plane arrived late, and it did not land until very late at night.

Hi,
A run-on sentence is an error in punctuation.
One or more stops (period or comma) are omitted between sentences or independent clauses.
Example of a run-on sentence - Mr. Green is a great mechanic he always fixes things completely.
Corrected - Mr. Green is a great mechanic, and he always fixes things completely.
Hope this helps.
