undergraduate īs thesis?
|
Dear colleagues!
In Russia students in colleges or Universities write īsenior project papers. They are not as long as dissertations. Stil you have to go to a special committee to discuss them. My question is: what īs the verb to express the process of discussion? I īve come across īto defend a thesis . Is it correct? |

Hi Maria,
It is quite common in North America to say I had to defend my thesis.
Defend is what I hear the most.
All the best,

Maceman is correct. We use "defend a thesis".
