You know that I have a wall, and a floor, and a table, and no, that s not all. A stove, a fridge and a television too. Got a lamp, another lamp. Got a rug and it s blue. Check out my bed it s got a quilt. Check out my closet it s got some... milk? Let s paint the walls, let s answer calls. Don t burn the roof! Cause I need somewhere to live.
That s what my kiddies and I hear . |

The author included the lyrics in the description of the youtube video:
I gotta Ceiling -------------------------------------------------- Lyrics copyright 2010 Carson Ritz. Recorded and Mixed by Carson Ritz.
I ve gotta ceiling And attached is a fan with a good light And attached is a fan with a good light And attached is a fan with a pretty good light I ve gotta ceiling, you do too And attached is a fan with a good light And attached is a fan with a good light Underneath is the bed where I say good night
I ve got a floor, I ve got a wall I ve got a sofa, I ve got another wall And when I m dirty, I take a bath The bills came today, I did some math
You know that I have a wall, and a floor, and a table, and no that s not all A stove, fridge, and a television too Gotta lamp, another lamp, gotta rug and it s blue
Check out my bed, it s gotta quilt Check out my closet, it s got some milk Let s paint the walls, let s answer calls Don t burn the roof, cause I need somewhere to live
I screw it, I screw it, I screw it, etc.

Wow, Moravc, Thank you soo much! I came accross that video yesterday (actually my son showed it to me) and I thought is was great to teach furniture so I put the link up on ESLp. I didn t get around writing out the lyrics yet. You saved me a lot of work. Does this Carson Rich also have a video? Or is it the same video I posted?
Susannem, the video you posted is fabulous, wouldn t it be wonderful to do something like that at school to promote reading?
Glad to see the video sparked some interest...
(carinita, it of course isn t my video, merely a video I posted the link for.. :) |

Yes, you are right Marion, the lyrics is just below your youtube video. See "OFFICIAL SHIRT:" - click on the button below "Show me the Full Description" and you will see the lyrics there. This button is really useful, there we can find a lot of info, credits, lyrics or fun facts about the youtube videos... I check it every time I watch a youtube video...

Great video! Thanks! I created a quick worksheet to name items in the room and furniture, then to write the number of times he sings them in the song. Trying to upload it now but having issues. Wil keep trying though!
*** Later: ah my document is too big. What a shame.
