you should use the verb to take in both sentences. 1- she took her time (it means she didn �t hurry)2- you have to take your chance. |

For the first sentence, I think we should use �took � and for the second one � take � ;) |

1st one is took but for the 2nd one, I think have a chance means (şanslı olmak) in Turkish and take a chance [on somebody] means (birine şans vermek). it reminded me of the song of abba: take a chance on me :) |

In my opinion, first one is "took" and second one should be provided more context to say that "take" or "have" |

The first is "took" and the second is definitely "take", because we don �t use "have a chance" with "have to". To have a chance means to have the possibility, so there can �t be an obligation for it. Bruce |
