Complete the sentences with the correct form of have and take

 1. She is late because she _________ her time coming here.
2. Sometimes you have to _______ a chance

you should use the verb to take in both sentences.
1- she took her time (it means she didn t hurry)
2- you have to take your chance.

For the first sentence, I think we should use took and for the second one take ;)

1st one is took but for the 2nd one, I think have a chance means (şanslı olmak) in Turkish and take a chance [on somebody] means (birine şans vermek). it reminded me of the song of abba: take a chance on me :)

In my opinion, first one is "took" and second one should be provided more context to say that "take" or "have"

The first is "took" and the second is definitely "take", because we don t use "have a chance" with "have to". To have a chance means to have the possibility, so there can t be an obligation for it.
