Please, accept my deepest apologies!
|
How do you do my beloved colleagues all over the world?
I would like to apologize with the 233 people who downloaded my last wk, WHAT DID THEY DO, this past April 6th and 7th.
I was just working with it in class and one of my students asked me WHAT the PAST TENSE of the verb "FLIGHT" WAS. I told her that "FLIGHT" wasn t a verb. That it was JUST a NOUN. But she told me, a little upset, the verb FLIGHT was is the WK I had just handed out to her. I saw the wk and I felt ashamed. I apologized and I took the decision to come here and do the same.
So please, sorry about that!
Best Regards!

But pay attention, because it has a specific use (BE) in sports. But also, don t feel ashamed. Teachers make mistakes, too!

What if you say:
The bird took flight.
or
The bird took flight and headed south.

Pinky, in your example, "took" is the verb, and "flight" is still a noun.
