I need some help for the Navy!
|
Hi dear teachers!
I ve never used this forum, but I really need some help from some Native Speakers, because I need very specific vocabulary related to the navy ranges.
Of course I know we have a Captain, Officers and sailors, but I need all the positions in the Navy and It s very difficult to find books with this information. I found a couple of things, but the terms change from British to American English, so could you please help me if you have some information or a useful website.
I ll wait for your suggestions and THANKS A LOT teachers!

Dear Vicky,
In the UK armed forces, men and women are called ranks . "I am the Rank of Sergeant."
In the Royal Navy, they are called ratings . "I am a Royal Navy Rating --- I have the Rating: Able-Bodied Seaman ."
I hope that this helps.
