Hi everyone! I hope you re having a great time. Thanks to all of you for keeping this site up!
I really need some help! I m going to start my thesis proyect! (yeap, the last step to become a teacher) and I wondered if you could help me.
I need some ideas related with IT (information technology) about How to apply these resources effectively inside the classroom to get best results? I wish you could help me with some new authors which have written about it or even if you have some websites to get information and NEW WAYS TO APPLY THESE RESOURCES!
I ll be waiting for your answers! you re the only one who could help me because we are teacher from differents countries! so we can share what we do using these resources (IT)
Thanks in advance =)

Hi Takenori,
This is what I use with my students. If you have an access to a computer room, you can write a webquest, put it on all the computers through the administrator account and have Ss do it individually. In the same way many things can be done, like e.g. designing a poster for an event or writing an information leaflet about a country/city to visit. They can also do online exercises at home or in class and send you the results. Interactive board is OK, especially when you want to do drag-and-drop exercise. If you have a digital projector with an access to the Internet, you can work with short Youtube videos, but make sure you prepare pre- and after-watching exercises, otherwise your Ss will be bored. One thing that I ve noticed when working with IT stuff is: if you use it too often, your students take it for granted, they get bored easily and do not appreciate it. Concluding, one must be careful when designing such a lesson and it is advisable to use it every now and again, and not all the time. That s my point of view.
Hugs,

Most students in big cities have computers at home, so it is good to provide them with activities they can do at home, for example vocabulary revision with matching exercises or fill-in exercises. There is a number of free software resources on the internet, such as: online exercises: Eclipse Crossword http://www.eclipsecrossword.com/ Spellmaster.com http://web2tools-mai08.pbworks.com/w/page/13233009/Spellmaster offline exercises: mobydict.cz http://mobydict.wz.cz/ wordle wordclouds http://www.wordle.net/ spiral, heart, rebus, maze http://www.festisite.com/text-layout/
In my opinion it is better to stick to the core and not include too many new words to learn, as students tend to forget them. Students need a lot of revision... Very short stories written by the teacher + fill in blanks or true/false exercises work well too. You can even ask some students to write a "diary", what did they do during the last week. Sort of an English facebook of the whole class, each student has his own nickname to keep the privacy.
