Hello, I would like to make a nice crossword for my pupils. I am familiar with crossword generators, for example puzzlemaker.com. But I can�t figure out how to make another kind of crossword with a hidden message, for example like this: http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=387961#thetop I suppose it is made in Word, not in a special generator. Can anyone help me or at least give me a hint? I like this design better than a "normal" crossword. Thank you very much. |

Thanks for your reply, I know this website but I can�t find that type of crossword there (with a hidden message going down in the middle), only cris-cros. I think the type of crossword I referred to was made in Word, but I still don�t know how... or am I wrong? |

Hello.
I think it �s made using autoshapes. It isn �t created using some kind of a generator. First of all you have to think about the hidden message and then adjust other words.

You can use hotpotatoes software, you can download it for free. It helps you to construct a puzzle, matching exercise, cloze, quiz and many more.

Hi Daniela! Silvanija is right. I use autoshapes to make my crosswords. First I choose the hidden message according to the topic and then I choose the words that can go with those letters in the middle. We do all the work. Have a good evening, mena |
