Greetings from Brazil.
Hello - Oi or Ol
Good bye - Tchau!
A funny language confusion:
At the 2008 Panamerican Games closing ceremony, here in Rio, I don t remember who started a speech in Spanish by saying "Hoy..." meaning "Today..." and the thousands of people present replied "Oi!", meaning "Hello!"

We have 11 official languages in South Africa one of them is isiZulu (commonly known as Zulu). The pronunciation might be a little difficult!! (but interesting)
Hello ( To more than one person), Sanibonani (pronounced, roughly, "San bonaan" - /saniɓɔna:ni/)
Goodbye ("Go well" - to one person, if he/she is leaving), Hamba kahle ... /ha:mba/ /ɠa:ɬe/
Greetings from South Africa
