This advert has been submitted every day for the past few days. Whilst I know the forum is available for letting teachers know about jobs and tefl teaching information, this kind of free publicity seems to be taking advantage of the good and free nature of the site. A small reference with links to the website would be more than sufficient.

I dont agree with you. I dont see any bad intention with that advertise of ilknur. She is looking for someone for her aim and she states this.perhaps you are right only in her advertising a hotel. but her intention, I think, is that finding someone that will take part in their activity. |

sedefgul,
You are correct when you mention that ilknur has the right to use the Forum to look for native speakers for the summer camp. What we question is the fact that she is doing it constantly. Once or even twice would be enough but... almost every day? Thats more than too much! |

My contention is that the advert is quite detailed and that it has been submitted many times. Even over the past few months I have seen this same advert with common regularity - and it is always exactly the same.
Why not just write: Urgent, teachers needed for summer camp. See www.whatever.com for details.
Taking up 30 or 40 lines of forum seems to be a misuse and abuse of the ethos of the forum.
Sorry, but thats my opinion. |

I agree with Logos. This person keeps cluttering up the site. Obviously, its not working if ths person has posted this 4-5 times! I suggested they try a more subtle tactic. In fact, I think most of us here, dont even read this ad anymore. We just find it a nuisance that clutters up the board.
Sorry but I also complained about another teacher that was doing the same. I dont think its appropriate to be using the site for self-promotion ALL the time. Once in a while, its fine but always, no...
