WOD Word of the Day

Dear Miss K,

Thank you!  Here is today s, "Word of the Day".

Please, everyone, let s have your humorous definitions of this word.

"Phlegmatic", (pronounced "Flegg-matt-ick").

No dictionary definitions, please!  Just witty, comical, or plain stupid suggestions!

Thank you for the compliment in choosing my description of "Limerance".

Incidentally, after I had switched off my computer, another "Limerick" with a "Difference" popped into my head:

There was a young Girl from Dundee,

Who was stung on the Nose by a Wasp;

To prevent an Infection,

She was given an Aspirin,

And advised to drink lots of Tomato Juice.

@ samsunmustafa -  An automatic foot and leg washer - I like that!

I haven t got a better definition so here s another limerick instead ;-)

There was a young man from Japan
whose limericks never would scan.
When asked why this was,
he said: "It s because
I always try and put as many words in the last line as I possibly can."

One would think that by the structure of the word that it would be an adjective; but one would be mistaken. Phlegmatic is actually  a noun referring to a small machine invented by Ron Popeil (of the Veg-o-matic fame) which is inserted into the mouth to remove automatically those nasty thick, yellowish, greenish, brownish  gobs (phlegm) that get stuck in the back of the throat when you have the flu a nasty cold, pneumonia or ,heaven forbid, tuberculosis . Please do not blame me for this disgusting word; it was Les was who chose it. By the way it is only $19.95 if you order now (free delivery if you call within the next 10 minutes.)
