1. Perhaps you could have them draw or make some weather items (such as clouds, the sun, stars, lightning, snow, etc.) and then match them to word cards and put everything on a poster or prepare a small exhibition about it.
2. You could also look for some rhymes or songs regarding these items (e.g. I hear thunder, or Dance like Snowflakes, etc.) and teach them each, with corresponding movements/coreography and voices - e. g. rough and loud for thunder, gentle for snowflakes, etc.) check
here.
3. It is also great to have kids do some role play - you can make it simple - divide them into pairs and have each pair represent one weather item and use can/can t sentences about it (if you can make them rhyme or rap, even better) - e. g. I am the Sun and I am all yellow. I can make you hot and I m a shiny fellow. I can melt ice-cream and warm up your day. When you see me, come out and play. (sorry, just quick improvising...)...
4. You can also link the topic to clothes - what can you wear when it s sunny? etc., or seasons, or even our planet - you can have them place items on a globe/map to show where the weather is mostly sunny, or often rains, etc.
5. look for stories or even cartoons with various kinds of weather (e. g. Bambi has it all) and have them watch and discuss the weather...
6. various equipment is useful - what do you need when it s rainy? - umbrella, raincoat and rubber boots, sunny? - T-shirt, sunglasses, sunhat, swimsuit, etc. - you can play a sorting game with this....
Hope this helps!
