Spider on the floor

Hello dear friends! I was invited by a colleague of mine to teach and action song to her young students. I ve chosen "Spider on the floor" by Raffi, here it is
but I can t understand what the word in red means
"Oh, he s just a dumb old lummock"
I ve used my dictionary and I ve googled the word...nothing.
Can you help me, please?
Thank you and big hugs.

Mariannina, You can t find the word because it isn t really a word. It is a small joke on the word "lummox", which means a dull, clumsy person. Since "lummox" doesn t rhyme with "stomach", it was changed slichtly (poetic license). Bruce |

There are variations of this song you can download free, which don t have that word, but are as funny:) Sophia

Thanks, Sophia, I ll teach Raffi s version to the "older" kids and "your" version to the little ones!
Have a slice of cake...enjoy!
