looking for a nice poem for our volunteer teacher

Hi dear people at ESLp,
This year we had a woman coming in once a week to teach one of my sixth graders who was struggling to keep up with the class. She did this as a volunteer and never got any payment from the school for it. I want to thank her for what she s done. We wil of course get her a small gift but I would like a nice poem or something to add. Do you have any suggusetions? She s an educated, middle aged native speaker (from the USA).

Valuable is the work you do

Outstanding in how you always come through

Loyal, sincere, and full of good cheer

Untiring in your efforts throughout the year

Notable are the contributions you make

Trustworthy in every project you take

Eager to reach your every goal

Effective in the way you fulfill your role

Ready with a smile like a shining star

Special and wonderful -- that s what you are!!

I found it here.

Sorry Marion,
couldn t resist the challenge, maybe you can look at one more...

"Thank You"

Thank you is so over used
and often unappreciated
that we sometimes use an excuse
rather than be ingratiated.
But I wish to say Thank You
from the bottom of my heart
I know exactly what to do
and even know how to start.
What you did as a volunteer
for nobody had to beseech
and you spent the entire year
giving someone the gift of speech...

For all you did... Thank You.
