STEATOPYGIC:
STEA-similar to Stehen (German for "stand")
to
PYGIC- PYGMY-LIKE
So STEATOPYGIC "means stand to Pygmy"--that is to be short.
example: Mary is quite steatopygmic--she is only 4 feet tall.
WOD NOTE: perhaps we should make it the word of the days and choose a winner every couple of days. |

@Douglas, I like your idea. Sometimes I feel pressured to get a word up or get adaffynition in or to choose a winner with few replies. I m sure Bruce can relate. We could also make it mandatory. If you need help you have to supply at least one daffynition. If you re offering help (since you re so smart) you have to give two daffynitions. If you like someone else s daffynition you have to supply your own (you ve just been inspired no?). If you post a cute picture of a cat you have to supply four daffynitions. If you have a cute picture of a cat as your avatar 5 daffynitions. I think this is only fair. ;-) |
