I was very touched by all your stories.... I will never see you the same whenever I see your name on this forum! For those who did not participate and would like to, it is not too late! Just write your stories in this post.
Anyway, there won t be a winner as all stories are so personal and so touching! However, I have chosen to dedicate this video to Douglas for his story! Thank you so much Douglas!
And for those of you who like storms: here is another one
I m not sure, but I think the dancer in the first black and white photo is one I saw at the Oklahoma State Fair in 2007--very impressive and very serious about his art.
Hey Mariethe. It was pouring a few minutes ago here and as much as I like the rain I had made plans for this afternoon. I decided to play the video backwards and it stopped raining!!!!
Oups! I should have posted here... but posted on your first tread
Anyway, I, dear Ed, tried hard, several times, to play the video forwards.... but Im happy for you, that you managed to stop the rain crossing your plans :o)))
When I was about seven years old, I remember sitting on my favourite wooden chair by the window in my bedroom every time it started to rain . I watched as passers-by paced quickly holding umbrellas, but I was really amazed at those who did not change their pace, biut preferred to continue walking in the rain, enjoying it ( or perhaps too tired to bother). As I was growing up, I remember doing the same thing myself. It was then that I started to realise I was becoming one of them...Whenever it s raining I like pacing slowly, looking at the clouds, noticing nature clense itself and smelling the wonderfully damp soil coming to life again.
Thank you for bringing back this memory, Mariethe!
