Wonderful! Thanks Frenchfrog!
Im just having my cuppa and logged on to see if there was anything interesting on the go...
Will check out all the site while I sip away at my tea!!! (with milk in the true English tradition!)
Then its off for some Xmas shopping! Ho ho
Last lessons on Monday & Tuesday....bliss!
And in the true Xmas spirit...shouldnt we all be drinking EGGNOG and GLUWEIN???
Kisses from sunny Thessaloniki (N. Greece)

So alex1968, a question - do you put the milk in your cup first or after the tea?
Does anyone else know about the history of statistics & why this is a significant question?

Yes, letting ones tea draw is essential for a proper cuppa. Hmmm, scones, only a 5 minute job for a batch (I have an unfair advantage as Im a chef too). Wish I had an oven, or even a fire or bbq to use!!
So, can you taste the difference in your tea if milk is added before the tea compared with after? This links to the statistics question...

Well, personal beliefs are often more important than empirical data when determining personal taste!
I dont like to jiggle my teabag if Im using one - I prefer to let it steep first too (i.e. water first, then teabag, then take teabag out before adding milk or lemon or rum or whatever)
Still no ideas on the relevance of tea & statistics???
OH, FRENCH FROG! GREAT LINKS THANK YOU (sorry for inserting/inflicting irrelevance into your thread)

Thanks frenchfrog! Hey alien boy we are having a BBQ for Christmas this year as we cant get to my partners family here in sweden... We are making our own Christmas, so in the snow we are firing it up :-) Markus is worried about what the neighbours will think.. I keep saying to him dont worry just say its my culture hehe.... As for tea, I love tea, and Im a milk AFTER the seeping... but with cofee if I have milk I add it BEFORE the boiling water... :-)

So cheezels, you laying a hangi or what? If I could turn up to celebrate I would!!! (Id happily bring the sake...)
And now to give you the dope on tea & stats!
In England, at a summer tea party in Cambridge, a lady stated that "tea
poured into milk tastes differently than that of milk poured into tea." There were several scientific bods there who shouted down this notion. But
one guest, Ronald Aylmer Fisher, proposed to scientifically
test the ladys hypothesis.
This was actually an important hypothetical test case presented by Fisher in 1935. Fisher was an expert in data collection, collaboration & analysis. In his field he is very important & this is a famous hypothetical construct.
Happy sipping everyone!
p.s I must admit I like a nip of rum in sweet black tea during winter - also very English (& may be related to rum, sodomy & the lash, another great British naval tradition...)
