WOD for the Weekend (Continued)

Hi all, there s been some good daffys already.
Let s see if you can come upwith more.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
WOD for the Weekend of 23-24 July 2011

Time for a new Word of the Day.  Since it s the weekend, I won t be picking a winner until Monday.  So let s see what you ve got:

the word is:

AUTOHAGIOGRAPHER

For newcomers, the idea is top make-up a daffy (funny) definition for the word.  The game is to help stimulate creativity and to get us teachers to "think outside the box"--a very important skill for being a good teacher.

Post your daffynitions below.

Cheers, Douglas

Not too sure about this one. However, I can tell you that a "hagiographer" is a person that writes down a recipes for the different varieties of haggis that exist in Scotland for the archives of the Highlands Haggis Board. Therefore, I assume that a an "autohagiographer" is a kind of rogue, self-employed, sasonack hagiographer acting outside of Highland law. I would suspect that this person s recipes are defective and consequently not to be trusted.

This is (or was) the term given to bards who sang or told tales or "autobiographies" about famous "hags" or witches around the world... usually these stories were then passed on orally by others and due to this, many became spectacular tales used to frighten children...

For example, in Hansel and Gretel poor Witch Gretchen, who loved baking sweets for children, became known for eating the very same children she made goodies for. This exaggeration of her misunderstood generosity caused her to become a 300lb cake eating hermit who hexed all that came near her...
