imo, the correct sentence is Jessica was like her mother when she was young. but i �m not sure
somebody please help me. thanks |

Well, if the "she" refers to Jessica �s mother, then the sentence:
Jessica is like her mother when she was young
is correct.
If the other meaning it would have to be:
When Jsessica was young she was like her mother.

What about ... "Jessica is like her mother when young/in her youth"?

The sentence is a perfectly fine sentence. The confusion is that we don �t know if we are talking about when Jessica was young or when her mother was young.
Jessica was like her mother when her mother was was young.
or
When Jessica was young she was like her mother |
