Thank you for your great contributions. the expression to define was: A rising tide lifts all boats(This idiom, coined by John F Kennedy, describes the idea that when an
economy is performing well, all people will benefit from it.)
I loved your knowledge of the usage and customs of the South of Wales , Linda! I am replying without delay to Les s interpretation:
"Time, and Tide, wait for No Man."
This is used as a way of suggestion that people should act without delay.
I liked the idea of the voyage over the waves in the Alantic ocean by Shua Redbull gave his "realistic" interpretation Of course Ed couldn t resist the pinch of his little inner devil and he had many of us, as usual, burst out laughing Thank you to Sirhaj and Ueslteacher too. But the person who sent the most human message through her definition is our lovely JULIA
Hello dear Mariethe, well my definition is
by no means as witty and hilarious as some of the others, but the first
thing I thought when I read your phrase is of the way how if there is
just one person with positive and uplifting energy they can pass it to
others around them in the simplest ways, just by a smile or a kind word
or a gentle touch, and lift up all those tired and weary, or
disillusioned and disappointed souls around them.
And although it
s not at all funny, it was such a nice thought for first thing on a
Saturday morning that I decided to share it with you anyhow, knowing you
to be one of those souls who does the uplifting.
So , dear Julia, for your kind heart and all you do for us here and in your surroundings, I declare you today s WINNER
over to you now.

Thank you dear Mariethe for the honor and sorry I m so late to post the new one, I ve been mountain climbing today. I ll find a suitable word, or more likely phrase as they seem to be a lot of fun to work with, and post it soon.
