What is the meaning of this?

Dear colleagues,

Could anybody help me to explain this?

I encounter this sentence from one of the English books, it says,

"That is a large piece of cake" and "It is way too big for me to eat."

I can understand the meaning but I dont understand how way too  is being use and what does it mean.

Could anybody explain it, please?

Thanks inadvance!

Best Regards,

jocel

way too = much too

More informal though; usually used when speaking.
