the concept of integration in ESL

Hi!!
Anyone know the concept of integration in ESL?

I think the integration refers to the integrated four language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking. It s like when we teach the students, we do not teach a skill in isolation since the nature of language is the integration of the skills ( we listen then we speak in response, we read and we speak about it, we write based on what we have read or listened). We give equal emphasis in each skill without neglecting or de-emphasize any of it at the expense of other skills ( we teach them to speak fluently but we do not focus on training them to listen well). Hope it helps.
