What do you do when you don t like a group of students (or a couple groups)? I have my problematic groups on Mondays and I start feeling bad on Sundays Plus I have to get up at 5am and I am not a morning person Sorry I m not bringing good news to the site |

I try and find something positive about them I try and be well prepared to keep them busy and sometimes let them decide how they want to work with a topic. (giving them responsibility) and I go to bed really early the night before with a boring book!!
You can also show a film - and let them talk and answer questions in pairs.

Get involved in their activities and add humour in their acts. |

Dear friend, I can understand you very well. Last year I had many of the groups you describe. It was terrible. What I did to "survive" was trying to take interesting worksheets to the lessons and use different levels of exercises so that they feel more comfortable since low level students like interrupting the lessons. They loved when we had crosswords, or songs or games on Fridays. I hope this is useful for you. I wish you the best.
