i�m starting a new school year next week...im gonna work with teenagers...the school is small so I know every student but I still feel insecure and i dont have any idea about how to face the first day. CAN YOU PLEASE GIVE ANY ADVICE ABOUT WHAT TO DO THE FIRST WEEK ?????

Try to start out with a good icebreaker. Get to know your students and learn some of their interests right off the bat. Also, think about how you �ll motivate them and the classroom rules. If you start off right, your lessons from then on will be much smoother. First impressions are everything!

I like to have a chat with them about their experience with English, their expectations. what they like best and what they hate. While doing so I get to know each of them and their knowledge of English  (if they do not say, I usually ask). That�s the moment I explain the way we will work and what I expect...

Speaking, listening to them, showing interest and your wish to help them overcome difficulties, improve makes the way easier to demand from them afterward.
