Bubbling boilers! Bust my buffers! Cinders and ashes!:) These are from the animation series my boys love to watch Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends (being 9 & 11 they honestly still do, imagine that) Sophia P.S. you do understand this is not to be taken seriously;)? Those were the first that came to mind.

Marianinna, "Cor! Stone the Crows!" is used in surprise, or annoyance, or horror --- but usually, as an expression of complete, total, and utter surprise. (Tu non sei una nonna --- sei una ragazza, vero?) Les

There must be a lot of regional differences: some of the other suggestions are new to me!
We have some milder versions of specific swears: s**t = shoot d**n = darn s**k = stink f**k = frick/ freak (not used alone as in "freak you" but in other forms as in "what a freaking waste of time!" Some people also say "F" as in "F you!" or "That s F ed up!" hell = heck

bummer cor blimey

This would make a good worksheet for my students who seem to have learnt only one swear word. I m sure you all know which one.
