THANK YOU - semantic field question

Dear friends,

I ve been away & have just read all your answers!

THANKS so much to you all, it s much clearer for me now!:)

I meant : same root (same semantic field) but did not know how to phrase  the question.

Thanks again!:) HugHugHug

Have a great evening!:)

Marie-Hlne, sorry, but same root is not the same as same semantic field .  If it s just the root ( ghost ) you re concentrating on, then you might ask your students to come up with as many different words and phrases they can think of that contain the word ghost (ghostly, ghost-writer, ghosting, deghosting etc).

On the other hand, I thought quite a few people had posted sensible alternatives to what might be construed as a bit of a jargon phrase - where semantic field could be replaced with related and associated , for example.
