Can you tell me what kind of activities you usually use with children 5-8 years old (beginners) about St. Patrick īs Day? I īve never taught this topic and some ideas would be very nice! Smile The funnier, the best! Wink

I have uploaded an article on Saint Patrick īs Day and there are flashcards about St Patrick īs Day in other ESL websites, you can give the students flashcards first and ask them to guess what they would be learning.

Saint Patrick īs Day is sometimes associated with Leprechauns ( Some disagree that Leprechauns have anything to do with it) but there are many St Patrick īs Day materials that feature Leprechaun. Leprechauns keep gold. Thus, you can do treasure hunt for the students to look for the gold that leprechauns keep.

I īve written a story about a boy and a leprechaun that takes place during Saint Patrick īs Day, the story is going to be published in an online magazine, if you "pm" me your email, I can email them to you.

Saint Patrick īs Day is celebrated in March I think, it īs still quite early.

I used to be a Kindergaten teacher and my students sang "I īm a little Leprechaun" to the tune of I īm a Little Teapot.

 

I īm a little leprechaun dressed in green

the tiniest man that you īve ever seen.

If you ever catch me so it īs told

I īll give you my pot of Gold!
