Dear colleagues, Could anybody say, which sentence is correct from the point of using verb patterns:
Men hate going shopping. or Men hate go shopping?

Men hate going shopping (using the gerund) is certainly correct. You need the infinitive for the other. Men hate to go shopping is fine, but you need that to. |

After hate / dislike the verb comes in the -ing form. Men hate / dislike going shopping, but women like it very much! |

Hi I think that verbs that come after like hate , love.....take the infinitive form or the gerund form so we can say men hate going shopping or men hate to go shopping.. |

just to add: if you use " hate "in the conditional tense, you can only use the full infinitive, ( to + verb) men would hate to go shopping while on holidays. |
