How to deal with reading lessons???

Hi everyone!! I need your help!!! What do you do when you have to teach reading and students have to answer the questions? I usually make them read loud and we translate the text as they go, but I am sure there s something else I can do so as to make it funnier or more attractive to them. (I usually deal with texts which appear in the student s book.
Thanks in advance for your help!!!

In depends on the grade and ages of your students...

The first thing I do with my 2 grade students is making a rhythmed words list. They usually do it without being asked! They really enjoy this kind of games (activities).

Draw the characters and make bubbles while they answer the questions.
