Couldn īt but share with you what my Business English class of 10-graders came up with today when I asked them to give the Am Eng equivalents:
public toilet - a toilet for all people/toilets outside your homes
a hand luggage - a small suitcase
a single ticket - a ticket for this time
timetable - a table for time/billboard/shoudle ( I particularly like the last one and I think it could become a new coinage for the list of things one should do:)
they also came up with a jet-leg:) (a missing part obviously)

It īs really funny how creative they can be when they haven īt done their homework!
I īm still laughing with the "jet-leg" !!! LOL
