I �m not sure about the preposition. Do we say: "you can see me on this photo" or "... in this photo"?

I would say "ON" the photo as the photo is not a volume.

The correct way to say it is:

In the photo � / �In the picture �
 
Theonly time we would say �on the picture� is if it was scratched or marked. Who spilled water on the picture?
There is a stain on the picture - because this is something added and not part of the picture itself.
 
Idiom: Put me in the picture: I want to be informed about or be involved in a particular situation or activity.
