Hello everyone,
could anyone help me to complete the sentences at (b) so that they give the same meaning as the sentences at (a)..
- a. You shouldnt go running as youre feeling ill, John, Anne said.
b. Anne advised John.................
- (a) Why dont we go shopping? suggested Fatima.
(b) Fatima suggested why..................
My answers were 1. not to go running as he was feeling ill 2. we don t go shopping.
What do you think? correct?
Thanks in advance |

Hi , Farah As for the 1st one , it is ok . For the 2nd one , I think that "why " is valid for the direct speech so since this is the indirect speech the verb to suggest already serves the function so we would simply say , Fatima suggested to go shopping .
Have a nice day
