Help please!!

Hello everyone,
Help me please in answering the following questions

1. You want your group of adult beginner students to be able to talk about their hobbies and what they do in their free time. What would you, the teacher, do to help them?  Think about the vocabulary and grammatical structures the students would need.  How would you teach them the new language?  How would you give the students practice in using the language?

2. How would you establish and keep rapport with a group of adult learners?

Thanks in advance

First of all establish theme lists of words (music - theater and cinema - sailing...). Don t forget the lists with the days, the months and some usual words.

Prepare charts with personal pronouns, "be" and "have" at the present... some usual verbs at the simple present, present continuous (affirmative, negative, interrogative)...

Then a list of usual sentences or beginning of sentences :
What do you usually do on Sundays ?
Do you sometimes ... ?
Have you ever ... ?
...

Find texts about introducing oneself, friends, dialogues about jobs and leisure.

Read them the text before giving it to them with the other necessary information.

Then once the text read by you and the students make them speak about themselves with the given vocabulary.

There is something too : make them establish a list of the sentences they would absolutely like to know and write them with them. But show them that knowing these sentences by heart is not enough to identify the tense for example.

You can choose with them a book they would like to work on and follow the lessons.

If your students have chosen to attend your course it will be easier for you as they will be participative.

Good luck !
