and

What is the differences between "would" and "could" in this structure?

With "wish", we use "would" for other people, but not for ouselves. I wish you would turn down the radio. I wish my boss would trust me more. I wish the rain would stop. I wish I could speak fluent Portuguese. I wish we could work together. Bruce |
