I hope you can help.  I have an ESL,  17 year old student who has Dyslexia. He is in his final year of school wanting to learn how to spell.  Do you have any tips for me as to how to teach him this skill which is so foreign to him?

They have a lot of useful materials for students with learning difficulties - all aimed at adults and all free as well as material for teachers. Type dyslexia into the search box on the left of the home page.
There are worksheets for ESL too.

Teach him cursive. A strong basis in phonics and syllabication will help too. Also teach him as many rules as you can get your hands on (i before e except after c and in weird words like �weird �). Teach him root words as well as prefixes and suffixes.
