I sometimes watch reality TV and see some ridiculous things and I feel embarassed for the person. I can see the phrase I suffer for her. I sounds a lot like Bill Clinton �s "I feel your pain." Ed |

It is possible as in the examples given by Ed -
I suffer for her = cringemaking.
I feel your pain = I �m a politician
but it depends on the situation.
If expresssing sympathy a more common phrase is �feel for her.�
If there was a problem, such as a seriously ill child, someone talking about the mother could say, �I feel for her.� |
