1960-1969 : the sixties
1970-1979 : the seventies
and so on,

but what about :
2000-2010: how shall we call this decade?

In the US, we mostly just say "the two thousands".

In countries where British English is spoken the noughties (Nought= zero) is used.
 
This term was used for the first decade of the twentieth century, but mainly in an informal way.
