Comenius Partnership

Dear Collegues,

I am a Primary English teacher in Poland and our school is currenty looking for the partner for a Comenius Partnership programme. For now, we do not have any project, as we are a school who is beginning its adventure with comenius, and we want to gain some experience before we apply with our own project as a leader school.

Therefore I m placing a message about our school below:

Primary School no 2 (Ostroleka, Poland) is situated in a rather poor district of the town Ostroleka. Many children come from families with a low socio-economic status and a few of them are even brought up in disfunctional ones. Therefore, our institution, wanting to support the intellectual and emotional development of our pupils organises different freetime activities (drama classes, sport competitions, school library activities, additional classes helping to enrich childrens knowledge of various subjects such as Maths, Science, History, English, German , etc). Moreover, the school has classes for pupils with special educational needs. Such classes are run by specially trained teachers who, being focused on individual needs of their pupils, design various learning activities for them. We believe that by taking part in this Partnership our pupils will have a chance to gain deeper understanding of the world, develop cultural awareness as well as improve their language skills and learning skills in general by using ICT and by face-to-face contacts with pupils from other countries. Moreover, teachers taking part in such cooperation activity will be able to share experiences with their colleagues from partnership countries and use any new ideas in their day-to-day learning.

If any of you are interested in starting a project along with our school please contact me via e-mail : [email protected]

Thanks!
