Easy English news - Do you know anything like this?

Hello teachers,
I have been a teacher for more than 10 years.
In the past I was writing some texts for my adult students. They were always
happy to read them and they wanted to read more. So they went to the BBC or CNN
and tried to understand. To their disappointment they didnt understand as it
was too difficult for their level of English. So about one year ago I decided
to write articles for them on regular basis. I post about 5 articles with a
video every week on newsinlevels.com. It is always one article in three levels
of English.
I have a question. Have you found anything
similar on the internet what my students could use? They want to read and maybe there is more news like this somewhere on the internet. If you have any suggestion, I will
be happy to hear your comments on anything.
Some people also say that our native speakers
speak too slowly. What do you think? Should they speed up or is it OK for
beginners and intermediate students? Thank you.
Have a good day
