I tried to explain sth to my students today and I simply stuck. What I wanted to refer to is America/ the USA being world �s watchdog/ police officer.
I can �t for the life of me remember the exact wording of it - but what I had in mind was that the USA prides itself on being a leading defender of democracy/ freedom but has the same issues to resolve on their home turf
is it correct to say: the USA as a watchdog? as a world �s police officer? Or is it another way of saying this? |
