"ni-ni" = slacker
|
Hid dear friends!! Today is thelast day of Easter holidays in my area, tomorrow I m back to work again . Anyway, I was wondering what s the term in English for the following idea. There s a word in Spanish, "ni-ni", which referes to people who neiher study nor work and live on their parents income. Is there a word in English that may refer to the same idea? I ve heard "slacker", but I m not sure if it is the same. Thanks |

sponger -
a person who gets money, food, etc. from other people without doing anything for them or offering to pay
parasite - a person who always relies on or benefits from other people and gives nothing back
But it would be great to know some equivalents from native speakers.

In US English I would call them a "bum" -- but don t do that in BrE, it has a totally different meaning. |
