Hi,
Is this answer for this question correct, please ?
Compare using the words in brackets :
1- Ali is 20 years old. Khalid is 20 years old. ( as ....as )
Can we say :
Ali is as young as Khalid ????
or
Ali is as old as Khalid ????
Thanks a lot in advance

Both are correct and it would depend on the circumstances e.g. Ali didn t know about the latest pop group, but Khalid did and Ali is as young as Khalid.
But unqualified, you would just say, Ali and Khalid are the same age. |

You guys are ignoring the fact that the structure to be practiced in this exercise is "as... as" just as Pretty has clearly stated. So, Pretty, I d say the correct option here would be "Ali is as old as Khalid" Sophia |

I totally agree with ueslteacher. That s the comparative of equality.
Best wishes.

We would normally use "as old as" unless there is a specific reason to use young as cunliffe mentioned above. The default is "old." |
