ESL Trade Fairs in Europe?

Hi all!

Does anyone happen to have some kind of a link that provides information on upcoming teaching (more specifically: teaching English) trade fairs, expositions or seminars?

I would really like to take a couple days off to go get some new ideas for teaching ESL, listen to a few teaching lectures, and maybe get some info on new ideas/technology/etc. .

Does anybody know of any upcoming events in Europe or where I might find a calendar of such events?

Thanks,
Douglas

Hi Douglas

You can find some conferences at this link belonging to the Australian TESOL association.  The one in Iceland sounds like a nice destination for a conference followed by some days of R&R.  Two in UK have just occurred.  http://www.tesol.org.au/events

Then theres the TESOL Inc Calendar of events.  Theres one in Russia - also a nice destination. http://www.tesol.org/s_tesol/sec_document.asp?CID=23&DID=2145

Then theres the IATEFL Special Interest Groups at http://secure.iatefl.org/events/. Theres Austria, Czech Republic, France and even Germany to consider.  They just had their big conference in bonny Scotland.

I love going to conferences (even though Ive only ever been to ones in Australia- the speakers are fabulous and all the major publishers have stalls (and lots of freebies).  I always come back extremely motivated.

Happy searching.

Cheers

Hi, Douglas!

You might have enjoyed our APPI annual conference, which took place last weekend. It always happens around this time of year, so here s the link for APPI in case you feel like joining us next year.

The blog for this year s conference will soon be available. This is the link for APPI Conference 2011 (not everyone s sessions are there, but it will give you an idea).
