It isn t an expression we use in the USA. If I had to define it, I d say a bashing poll is a survey to determine which choice of several bad choices is the worst. Sort of like our Republican presidential primaries this year... (Even most Republicans hated the choices!) |

I think I have figured out what it means. A "bashing poll" is apparently a poll that brings out/addresses something negative about a person and allows people to vote on whether or not it is true--the intention of the poll is to bash (put down, degrade, etc.)somebody.
For example the poll may look like this:
Who is the ugliest person in the 9th grade?
a. Mary Jones (check out her hair!)
b. Brandy Maxwell (slut!)
c: Tammy Brashlo (does she ever shower?)
d. Sally Certs (fat, sloppy, pizza face!)
Thats s what I come up with after reading a few things and drawing some conclusions.
cheers,
Douglas |
