Ideas for a funny lesson

Hello, I need your advice for a lesson with teenagers (aged 13-14). They have a basic level and I would like to innovate and do something different with them. I ve thought about drama but I ve never tried it before... Could you please suggest any ideas? Currently we re studying a unit about food and cooking. THANKS

Hello dear beefeater,
I worked on the topic of food and recipes with my students: First, they learnt some vocabulary ( cooking verbs, ... ) Then, they looked for a recipe that they fancied and translated it into English. Finally, they cooked/ baked their dishes at home and the rest of students could try them during break time.
Hope this is useful.

Some ideas to use cooking in class:) You could introduce cooking verbs and play a miming game
you could use conversation cards for pair work
or a guessing game

Well since they are 13,14 years old try having a cooking class like baking muffins, cookies and even a colorful fruit salad! The cooking classes are always a huge success with my students!Plus everybody can understand what is being done because of the "visual aid"! |

Have a look at these two sketches. Perhaps they like the restaurant one. Hope it helps. If you want the script, I can send it to you Yolanda
